Back in October of 2009, Fisker Automotive bought General Motors' closed down Boxwood Road facility in Wilmington, Delaware. Now, nearly two years later, Fisker is gearing up to get the re-commissioned factory ready for production of Project Nina.

This means that Fisker will need to hire some employees and it has announced that it's ready to do just that. Starting this weekend, Fisker Automotive will post advertisements for job openings at its Delaware facility. The automaker's initial plan calls for the hiring of 120 employees, including engineers, electro-mechanical technicians and production workers, by the end of 2011. Unfortunately, Fisker only intends to use one third of the factory's total floor space, meaning that the capacity to manufacture around 200,000 units annually will remain untouched.

Looking to land a job with Fisker? Well, the automaker says that it will hire at least 40 electro-mechanical technicians in July and August and an additional 80 production line workers between October and February of 2012. After that, Fisker is looking to continually add jobs as Project Nina nears production in late 2012. That's the plan, anyway.
